• Cold water, inside out. (Hot water is for people in a hurry.)
• Gentle detergent. Garment-dyed cotton is easygoing — keep it that way.
• The first wash may give up a little color, so keep it away from anything white you're fond of.
• Tumble dry low, or hang it up and go do something else.
• No bleach, no fabric softener. Both undo what makes this shirt good.
• Don't iron over the artwork. Inside out with a pressing cloth if you must — though we'd love to know what you're getting ready for.
• Do not dry clean.

Garment-dyed color keeps settling and softening for years. That isn't wear. That's the whole idea.
